DDSP or "Disability Development Services Program", is a Cambodian non-governmental organisation launched in January 2003. It is one of the few rural Cambodian organisations providing community services to disabled people and other disadvantaged people. DDSP works with all disabled people, their families and the most disadvantaged, but focuses on the most vulnerable, especially disabled children, women, landmine survivors and people with severe disabilities such as paraplegia and cerebral palsy.
Their new Vocational Training School was created to help give education to their target customer and improve their quality of living by allowing them the dignity of having a job and being independent in the future. This new project that you are considering funding, will provide the first washing machine for the students with 3 different purposes;
- Train people in life skills that helps them to be more independent.
- Train people how to set up their own small business to earn an income in the future.
- Start a small social enterprise that will help to fund this great school and the work they do.
