Bring Tuk Tuk Theatre to the villages for a month

Imagine if you can, growing up in a little village in rural Cambodia. You probably don’t go to preschool but will make it to primary school although maybe not until you are 10 years old or older as you have to look after your little brother and sister from the age of about 5 years old. When you are not helping to babysit your tasks include walking up to 3 km’s for fresh water or helping out with the farming. The nearest big town is 5 kms away but you have never visited and the thought of going to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, seems as remote to you as going to the moon. Enter Tuk Tuk Theatre. In a regular 2 hour session we bring educational team building games, nutrition,  sanitation and finish it all off with a movie shown on our very own mobile Cinema. Some of the different activities that we have done include;

• Yoga for kids
• Science experiments
• Learn to play tennis - (a nintendo wii was involved)
• Live links through skype to people in other countries
• And many other activities

In fact we are always thinking of new things to get those little neurons firing and allow them to dream of something larger than the small village where they live. This program works with 200 kids on average seeing them all 2 times per month.
