The only way to make a difference is working together. TT4C understands this and it is at the core of our organisation. We work with international organisations to help run projects in Cambodia and work with local NGO’s to support them with volunteers and working in the community. When you volunteer with TT4C, you may also be either working on a project funded by one of our international partners and/or working in one of our local NGO’s.

Building Bridges for Children is a Khmer run English school. They have a great system where they charge the students to study based on their family income. In this way everyone has access to the school and the local population help to cover the costs of running the charity. Tuition starts at 0.50c a month and up to $10 a month for the more wealthy. Here you can be a teachers aid or if you are suitably qualified and here for an extended period of time, you can work with the teachers to train them on lesson plans or different teaching methods. We do not allow volunteers to run their own class as we don’t believe in taking jobs from the local Khmer people.

DDSP or Disability Development Service Program, is a charity that works with the disabled in the Pursat province. They work with both adults and children in many areas including education and mobility. They are always looking for qualified occupational therapists or experienced carers that can help their program. They also run 3 classes in different schools working with disabled students that could use some teachers aids or qualified disability support teachers as well as a new vocational training center.

Pursat Alumni Association runs a great project providing lunch to students in the Bakan province. In 2017, we ran TTT at this school on a weekly basis to help support this great program. This program provides a very healthy lunch for the kids and keeps them in school where they belong. In 2018 this program has been moved 50kms from Pursat so we will begin to perform Tuk Tuk Theatre on a monthly basis with the kids to try and help out. There are currently no volunteer positions working directly with PAA however you can help with our TTT experience.

The Rotary club of Calgary downtown is our first major sponsor and we love them for it. Not only have they supported us with a grant in 2017/18 but they have always offered their support and understanding of our project whilst working with us through the ups and downs that come along with implementing a project in a foreign country. Our latest supporter in 2018, the Rotary club of Vagraville contacted us in the hope of helping our organisation after they visited us in early 2017. They have agreed to co-fund our oral hygiene program in 2018 that allows us to expand from roughly 300 kids in our TTT program to also do the training with our 500 kids in Kindergarten who benefit from the mobile library. This program is run 2 times a year to help reinforce the training and will begin in Nov 2018.
